New Chief Executive for SRHA

John Green has recently joined the Association as Chief Executive replacing Ian Richardson.  John says:

“It is a genuine privilege to be joining Shropshire Rural Housing as Chief Executive, and be charged with ensuring the Association continues to deliver a great housing service in communities across rural Shropshire.

Having spent over 30 years in the housing sector I passionately believe that housing of the right type and quality not only gives people a sound place to settle, but also helps communities to thrive in terms of a positive impact on local schools, shops and other essential services.

One of the things I am looking forward to most in my first few months is getting out and about visiting the communities served by Shropshire Rural, and meeting as many of our tenants as possible. I made my home in Shropshire 5 years ago and I am constantly amazed by the stunning scenery (especially the golf courses), the beautiful villages and friendly Salopians. When I’m not discovering the hidden gems of Shropshire, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and watching my team……. Liverpool!”
