Governance

Shropshire Rural is governed by a Board who are responsible for setting our overall strategy, controlling risk and ensuring our long term viability whilst delivering excellent services and “providing the homes that help Shropshire’s rural communities thrive”.

Each Board member brings experience and expertise to the Association, and the Board is supported by 3 committees.

  • Development and Finance Committee – oversees our finances and the development programme.
  • Housing Management Committee – oversees our housing service, asset management and tenant engagement.
  • Human Resources Committee – oversees human resources policies, staff performance and salary reviews.

Shropshire Rural is regulated by the Regulator for Social Housing and has adopted the National Housing Federation’s 2015 Code of Governance.
